biography on adml. yamamoto. decent read but i wont recommend it. seems to concentrate on the 1920s-1930's. I was hoping for more of the WW2 years. Although the story of his last days and the story his last flight was excellent.

great book about Midway. Most of it is from the IJN side. Very detailed. Basically blows Fuchida's book out of the water. Most western books on the matter are full of errors and bad info. I should be beck in ponape, guam and saipan in sept 2011. i have seen alot of the ww2 sites but now i would like to see off the beaten trail stuff. any stuff in ponape to see?

ive always enjoyed staying in paco, manila, from the books i have read that was a hot spot. i think the paco cemetary was fortified. any info on that? i like the corrigador isle tours also! any other ww2 sites in the PI i need to see? not sure if i can get to leyte. is there much to see?

hey, i am a transplanted canadian incalifornia, but travel micronesia extensively for business. i like ww2 history, nhl and cocktails. if u need travel advice id love to help. fav places in the pacific to visit are manila, saipan and new zealand.

well you posted it 2007 so i am 4 years late. pohnpei is clean and safe. i have been ther 10 times at least for business. its pretty laid back, not alot of nightlife. people are friendly and laid back. i usually just buy some booze and hang at my hotel. as for ww2 relics id suggest guam or saipan. i...
