Runway - Looking South
Use of Gusap Initially only short range fighters were based at Gusap. They
included P-39s, P-40s and P-47s. First use began in early November
Units include the 41st & 49th FG [from Dobuduru]
the 312th Bombardment Group [Initially in P-40s, moving to A-20s
in Feb,1944] [from the USA], the 35th F.G.[from Nadzab].
