Location
The Allied War Cemetery was located at Falamai on Mono Island in the Treasrury Island Group.

Wartime History
During 1943-1944 both New Zealand and American dead were buried here during 1943-1944. This included war dead on Mono Island and Stirling Island and the surrounding area due to combat, personnel killed by air raids and aviators.

2nd Lt. Webster L. Kincaid, Jr. KIA January 7, 1944 piloting P-38H 42-66671
S2C Roy Goldberg, 87th Seabees (KIA January 13, 1944 on Stirling Island) buried on January 13, 1944
Eddie Burns, 87th Seabees (KIA January 11, 1944) buried on January 13, 1944
S1C Blake Musselman, 87th Seabees (KIA January 11, 1944) buried on January 13, 1944
S1C Art Nappen, 87th Seabees (KIA January 11, 1944) buried on January 13, 1944
S2C Donald F. Fitzgerald, 87th Seabees (KIA January 11, 1944) buried on January 13, 1944

During 1945, this cemetery was exhumed and remains repatriated to Manila American Cementery or the United States for permenant burial.
