Location
Lat 8° 26' 0" Long 127° 0' 0"  Located near Fuiloro. During the war known as Abisu Airfield. Also, Vila-De-Avis or Fuiloro.

Construction
Abisu had two runways: 2,000' x 250' and the other 2,000' x 100'.

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese during early 1942. Used by the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) bombers as a forward operating airfield. Japanese forces occupied the area until surrendering on September 11, 1945.

American missions against Abisu Airfield (Vila-De-Avis, Fuiloro)
March 12, 1943 - July 17, 1944

Today
Still in use today as a landing ground. Airport code: ICAO: WPFL.
