December 26, 1942 - February 7, 1945

Occupied after the offical surrender of Japan, Allied forces entered the airport on September 3, 1945. RAF 152 Squadron was one of the first to arrive, to service Spitfires transiting to Saigon.

The airport is still in use as Bangkok's main airport.
