Crash Strip (Koli Point) is located to the south of Koli Point near the north coast of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. To the northwest was Carney Field (Bomber 2) and to the southeast was Koli Field (Bomber 3). To the east is the Metapona River. Also known as Koli Point Strip.
Built during late 1943, the U. S. built a single runway measured 3,000' x 300' oriented northeast to southwest. This Crash Strip was parallel to the runways
of Carney Field (Bomber 2) to the northeast Koli Field (Bomber 3) to the southwest.
Used as an emergency strip for crash landings and emergencies.
Disused since the war. Today, the former runway is overgrown with kunai grass.
