Location
Located on the northern coast of Paramushir Island. To the east was Mito Yama and Kakumabetsu Bay. To the north is Daigo Point (Daigo-saki). Nearby was the Kakumabetsu Cannery.

Construction
The Japanese built a single runway measuring 3,800' x 150'.

Wartime History
During the later stages of the Pacific War, Ki-44 Tojo fighters operated from this airfield.
