Location
Lat 6° 16' 60S Long 145° 52' 0E  Located at at Kainantu.

Construction
During the late 1930s, a runway was built at this location.

World War II Pacific Theatre History
As of mid-1942 the single airstrip was 900 x 85 x 550 yards, with a five foot drop in the center of runway. Reported as soft after rain, approaches fair (trees and hills), Facilities included two houses and native houses.  Medical Assistant Fowler and W.O. Boyan (male nurse).

Today
Still in use today.
