The two gray arrows at the left indicate the axis of Japanese overland attack from the hills to the west by elements of the 16th Division at 6:30am and elements of 26th Division during the night of December 10-11, 1944. The black arrow indicating the advance of U.S. Army reinforcements to the area. At the upper left is a black arrow indicating the advance of the 382nd Infantry Regiment during December 6-7, 1944.
