Location
Located at in the district of Bunawan, at Barangay San Isidro, Davao. San Isidro's old name is Licanan. Located near Lasang River. The Tagalog spelling of the name is "Likanan".

Construction
Built prewar, possibly as a 'crop duster' airfield.

Tony Feredo adds:
"As for Likanan, its just the tagalog of Filipino spelling of Licanan Airfield, located near Lasang River in Mindanao. Lasang and Licanan are to be the same airfield although they may have been named separately to identify the two long parallel runways that were connected with taxiways in both ends (looks like a boxed airfield)."

Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese, this airfield was expanded into an auxiliary and emergency airfield to disperse aircraft from Davao Airfield (Sasa) and Matina Airfield.
