Location
Lat 12° 41' 3N 123° 52' 41E E  Located on the Magallanes-Bulan Road north of Bulan (Bulsan) on the southwestern tip of the Bicol peninsula on southeastern Luzon. Also known as Bulsan Airfield.

Construction
Built prewar as an auxiliary airstrip.

Wartime History
Used by the Japanese as an auxiliary airfield.

American missions against Bulan
February 6, 1945

By April 16, 1945, Bulan Airfield was liberated by the US Army 2nd Battalion, (reinforced), 158th Infantry. Afterwards, the airfield was used by the US Army to airlift in supplies for operations on the Bicol peninsula.

Today
Still in use today as "Sorsogon Airport". Airport Code: RPUU. The single runway measures 3,937'.
