Wartime History >During World War II, used by the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF).

Still in use today as Ardmore Airport with three runways. The first is oriented 21L/03R measures 4,630' x 148' surfaced with asphalt. The second is oriented 21R/03L measures 1,700' x 59' surfaced with grass. The third is oriented 25/07 measures 1,960' x 59' surfaced with grass. Airport codes: ICAO: NZAR IATA: AMZ.
