    Emiej Sealpane Base (Imeji) Jaluit Atoll Marshall Islands
Location
Emiej Sealpane Base was located on the south in side of Emiej Island (Imeji) in Jaluit Atoll in the Marshall Islands. Also known as Jaluit Seaplane Base.

Construction
Built by the Japanese, the seaplane base had shore facilities on Emiej Island (Imeji) with a a seaplane ramp and two hangers. To the north was a torpedo storage area.

Wartime History
Emiej Sealpane Base based H8K Emily Flying boats from the 24th Air Flotilla. On March 4-5, 1942 flyingboats from this air group bombed Oahu. Also, A6M2-N Rufe floatplane fighters.

Today
Abandoned since the war, behind the ramps are the remains of two hangers and the hulk of an Emily. To the north of the ramps is the wreckage of several A6M2-N Rufes and a torpedo storage area.
