(20th AF) B-29s bomb the city of Hamamatsu.

May 19, 1945
(20th AF) Mission 178: 272 B-29s make an abortive raid on the Tachikawa Aircraft Company and bomb the city of Hamamatsu.

June 17, 1945
(20th AF) Mission 208: 130 B-29s hit the Hamamatsu urban area; 2.44 square miles (6.32 square km) are destroyed.
