March 29, 1945
(USN) USS Yorktown (CV-10) TBM Avengers from VT-9 led by Lt. Thomas H. Stetson strike Chiran Airfield bombing hangers and strafing parked planes.

May 5, 1945
(20th AF) Missions 144, 145 and 147 to 149: 55 B-29s bomb Chiran Airfield.

July 1, 1945
(7th AF) 33 B-25s, operating in two flights from Okinawa bomb Chiran Airfield.

July 3, 1945
(7th AF) 36 B-25s from Okinawa, attacking in two flights hit Chiran Airfield.

July 12, 1945
(7th AF) Chiran Airfield is pounded by 70 B-25s and A-26s (this is the first strike against Japan by Seventh AF A-26s).

July 29, 1945
(FEAF) P-47s hit Chiran Airfield.

August 7, 1945
(FEAF) B-25s hit Chiran.
