Location
Surabaja Airfield is located at Surabaja (Surabaya, Soerabaja) in East Java Province (Jawa Timur) on the north coast of Java. Allied wartime spelling Soerabaja.

Construction
Built prewar.

Wartime History
During the Pacific War in the first months of 1942, used by the Allies including by U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) B-17 Flying Fortresses. Occupied by the Japanese for the remainder of the Pacific War. Surabaja Airfield was used as a JAAF bomber base for the remainder of the war.
