Wartime History
Occupied by the Japanese April 30, 1942. During late October 1942 Japanese aircraft from Lashio flew missions against Dinjan, India.

American missions against Lashio Airfield
December 17, 1942 - February 26, 1945

Still in use today by flights from Myanma Airlines. The single runway is 5285' x 95' at 2,450' ASL with no fuel on site. Airport code: ICAO: VYLSAND IATA: LSH.
