Raid #1: (IJN) During the night, three H8K Emily flying boats drop bombs into Townsville Harbor.

July 27-28, 1942
Raid #2: (IJN) During the night a single flying boat drops bombs over Townsville, but no damage was inflicted. Several American P-39 Aircaboras claim to have hit or damaged it.

July 28-29, 1942
Raid #3 (IJN) Night raid by a lone flying boat, bombed but no damage was inflicted.  Several American P-39 Aircaboras attempted to intercept but were unable to reach it.
