Japanese missions against Fenton Airfield
April, 1943–July 6, 1943

April 1943
(JAAF) After arrival of 380th Bomb Group, during late April 1943, a formation of Japanese bombers from TImor bomb the strip in late afternoon from medium altitude. They disable one B-24 and other property damage. Reference The Flying Circus page 98.

June 30, 1943
(JAAF) At 12:31 Japanese air raid against Fenton Airfield bombs destroy three B-24 Liberators including B-24D "Contrary Mary" 41-23764 and CW-22 Falcon.

July 6, 1943
(JAAF) Japanese air raid destroys CW-22's as well as B-24s.
