Aircraft History
Built by Vultee. Assigned Royal Air Force (RAF) serial number AN574. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia arriving on March 25, 1943.

Wartime History
Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as vengeance A27-208. Assigned to 1 Air Depot (1 AD) and reassembled. On May 4, 1943 assigned to 12 Squadron. No known nickname or nose art.

Mission History
On May 23, 1943 took off piloted by Sgt J. E. Sheehan on a training flight and suffered an electrical fire. This vengeance force landed on the beach off Dum In Mirrie Island off Port Patterson near Darwin. Both crew were unhurt in the crash and returned to duty.

Wreckage
The wreckage of this aircraft remains in situ.
