Funeral for two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Spitfire pilots at Morotai Cemetery on Morotai Island
Personnel lower the casket for Flt Lt. Edmond McLeod Stevenson pilot Spitfire A58-419 ditched January 13, 1945 taken prisoner and died April 14, 1945 whose remains were recovered postwar. In the foreground is the grave of Flt Lt. Benjamin B. Newman pilot Spitfire A58-654 crashed August 2, 1945 the last casualty from No. 79 Squadron during World War II. Standing at right is RAAF Chaplain Flight Lieutenant B. T. McLaughlin with left Flt Lt T. W. Scott an Anglican RAAF Chaplain who are conducting funeral services.
