Built by Douglas at El Segundo.

Mission History
On July 17, 1943 took off from Henderson Field, on a dive bombing mission against Japanese ships off southern Bougainville. This aircraft failed to return.

Memorials
Mailloux was declared dead the day of the mission. He is memorialized on the courts of the missing at Honolulu Cemetery (Punchbowl) on court 4.
