Mission History
On March 3, 1942 this PBY was strafed and sunk by Japanese A6M2 Zeros in Roebuck Bay off Broome.

The wreckage of this Catalina remains to this day.

During 1979, Stan Gajda salvaged an instrument and O2 bottle from the wreckage and donated them to the RAAF Association Western Australia Aviation Museum (WAAM).
