Vertical view over Napa Napa and Fairfax Harbor of smoke plumes from two burning Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Catalinas
This photograph was taken by a Japanese bomber crew downwards over Fairfax Harbor off Napa Napa. PBY A24-3 and PBY A24-6 are seen burning, strafed by Zeros at their moorings. An aerial bomb is visible to the extreme left, center falling downward. Wartime caption states: "Two Flying Boats burning in Port Moresby harbor after Japanese bombing".
