Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated. Assigned to the Dutch Navy.

Mission History
On March 3, 1942 straffed and sunk by A6M2 Zeros while attempting to take off from Roebuck Bay off Broome.

The Catalina broke up in the crash, one engine facing forward with the tail right behind it upside down. Many bullet holes here including 20mm hits.

Stan Gajda recovered the left instrument panel and restored it. Later, he donated it to the WAAM where it is displayed.
