"The wreckage appears to have U. S. Navy (USN) markings. Inside the cockpit is a dataplate with the following information:

Serial No. 56101
Part No. P1718 MP 05900-5-0-0
Model No B 24 D
Pur Ord. No. SD 95
Contract No. 40033"
