Wartime History
Delivered to the U. S. Navy (USN) as PB4Y-1 Liberator bureau number 32277. Assigned to squadron VPB-101. Possibly, nicknamed “Big Op”.

Mission History
On October 23, 1944 took off from Morotai Island on a bombing mission and failed to return. The entire crew were officially declared Missing In Action (MIA).

Memorials
The entire crew was officially declared October 24, 1945. All are memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery.
