Built by Republic. Delivered to the U. S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the South-West Pacific and reassembled.

Wartime Hstory
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 58th Fighter Group, 69th Fighter Squadron. Assigned to 2nd Lt. Arthur F. Cain, Jr. from Bath, Maine, who nicknamed the aircraft "Bath, Maine - It's A Long Way off Doc!" after his hometown. Ultimate fate unknown, not lost during combat or accident. Likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
