Erick W. Kyro c1944

Aircraft History
Built by Republic at the Indiana Division of Republic Aviation in Evansville, IN. Constructor Number 377. Delivered to the U. S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia. During November 1943, reassembled at Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) in Melbourne.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 35th Fighter Group, 41st Fighter Squadron. Squadron number 75 in white on each side of the fuselage forward of the US star. The tail was painted white an the engine cowling had a white band, with 75 at the 6 o'clock portion.

Assigned to pilot 1st Lt. Erick W. Kyro. During the first half of 1944, operated from Gusap Airfield. After Kyro's departure from the squadron, this aircraft was likely assigned to another pilot. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
