Delivered to the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as Kittyhawk NZ3169. Reassembled by 1 Aircraft Depot at Hobsonville Airfield on August 11, 1943.
Assigned to 18 Squadron coded "59". No known nickname or nose art.
On November 22, 1943 took off piloted by F/O Peter S. Rishworth on a mission. This P-40 suffered engine problems then ditched into the sea off the Treasury Islands at approximately 6:45am. Pilot Rishworth was killed in the crash.
This aircraft was officially written off on December 17, 1943.
Rishworth was officially declared dead the day of the mission. He is commemorated at the Bourail Memorial at Bourail War Cemetery.
