Built by Bell in Buffalo, New York. Delivered to the U.S. Army, serial number unknown. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled.
Assigned to the 5th Air Force. No known nose art or nickname. Operated in New Guinea, abandoned at 30-Mile Drome (Rogers
Drome) near Port Moresby.
Remained in situ at the airfield, partially scrapped in the middle 1990's. This and second P-39
fuselage from Rogers were intercepted by PNG authorities when they were shipped
by road towards Port Moresby to be scrapped. Instead, rescued and transported to the PNG

Museum where it remained until 2001.

Museum and containered by '75 Squadron'. Exported to Australia to the property owned by Bruno Carnovale outside Melbourne, Australia.
