Built by Bell in Buffalo, New York. Delivered to the U.S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the South Pacific and reassembled.

Wartime History
During August or September 1942, assigned 13th Air Force. No known nose art or nickname. This aircraft was officially stricken from inventory on March 23, 1943.

Mission History
On March 23, 1943 (?) took off from New Caledonia piloted by Col. Cook on a training mission. This Airacobra crashed near Ouassio Hill near Nouméa. The date of the crash was likely sometime in early 1943 prior to March 23, 1943.
