Aircraft History
Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank, California. Delivered to the U. S. Army. This aircraft had a natural aluminum finish. Disassembled and shipped overseas and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 59th Service Group. No known noseart or nickname. When lost, V-1710-91-89 serial number 42-94101 and a-045176.

Mission History
On January 27, 1945 took off from Tacloban Airfield on a local flight and failed to return. Pilot Griffiths was declared Missing In Action (MIA).

Search
Afterwards, Air & Sea Rescue searched but made no signtings.

Memorials
Griffiths was officially declared dead on January 28, 1946. He is memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery.
