Aircraft History
Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank, California. Delivered to the U. S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 49th Fighter Group, 9th Fighter Squadron. Squadron Number 93. Assigned to Lt. James W. Harris, III. No known nickname or nose art. On the side of the cockpit was Harris four victory flags.

Later, this Lightning was transfered to the 475th Fighter Group, 431st Fighter Squadron. Assigned to pilot Lent who nicknamed the aircraft "T-Rigor Mortis". Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
