Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank, California. Delivered to the U. S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas and reassembled.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 5th Air Force, 475th Fighter Group, 431st Fighter Squadron. Assigned to pilot Morriss. No known nickname or nose art.

Mission History
On June 23, 1944 took off from Finschafen Airfield on a flight bound for Milne Bay. This aircraft went missing and has never been found. Believed to be lost in the Milne Bay area.

Memorials
Hawkins was officially declared dead on February 22, 1946. He is memorialized on the tablets of the missing at Manila American Cemetery.
