Aircraft History Built by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation (LAC) in Burbank. Constructors Number 1314. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-38H-5-LO Lightning serial number 42-66803. Disassembled and shipped overseas to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA) and reassembled. Wartime History Assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF), 35th Fighter Group (35th FG), 39th Fighter Squadron (39th FS). Nose Number 33. No known nickname or nose art. Assigned to 2nd Lt. Kenneth C. Sparks. During June 1944 this aircraft was written off. Ultimate fate unknown likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
