Wreckage
This aircraft was coded CILHI site "PNG 71" on the coast of northwest of Port Moresby near Malalua inland from the coast from Terapo.

Note some references state this aircraft was P-38G Lightning 42-12806. This aircraft was assigned to the 12th AF, 82nd FG, 87th FS crashed January 31, 1943 piloted by William J. Schildt.
