Aircraft History
Built by Convair as an OY-1 Sentinel. Assinged to the U. S. Navy (USN) bureau number 60507.

Wartime History
Unknown.

Postwar
Used as a glider tug by the Caesars Creek Soaring Society until it ran out of fuel and crashed upside down in the trees. The pilot was unhurt but the L-5 was firmly stuck and later recovered and repaired.

Restoration
Restored to flying condition by the CAF Midland from 1992-2003.

Today
Owned by the American Airpower Heritage Flight Museum. Registered as N-1156V on March 9, 1992. Operated by the CAF National Capital Squadron. Painted to represent a U. S. Army Stinson L-5 Sentinel with tail serial number 42-990444. Painted in the markings of L-5 "Gayle Ann" 42-98758.
