Wartime History
Crashed in a marshy lowlands between Hayfield (Maprik area) and the Sepik River.

Wreckage
This wreck's left engine is still attached to the wing.  The right engine is ripped off from the crash and located ahead of the aircraft.  The Tail and fuselage are broken in two sections and interior stripped.

Nathan Vllrath adds:
"I took these photos from a helicopter. The helicopter pilot (Bill Cristobal) offered to set down so I could get better photos and I waived the opportunity.  I've kicked myself many times since then."
