Aircraft History
This is a replica aircraft, one of four replica Ki-43 Oscars restored by the Texas Aircraft Factory and restored to flying status, using a Pratt & Whitney R-1830-92 engine.

This aircraft was reportedly restored using four wrecks recovered from the Kuril Islands (unknown what parts, if any) and new manufactured parts. By May 2004, this aircraft was on its gear. Painted in the markings of Ki-43-III Oscar 15344 in the markings of the 54th Sentai, 3rd Chutai that served in the China-Burma-India (CBI).

Owned by Jack A. Erickson of Beaverton, Washington airworthy on June 11, 2008 and registered as NX43JE.

Displayed at the Tillamook Air Museum.
