Assigned to the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as Hudson Mark III serial number NZ2023. On September 29, 1941 BOC by Unit 1 and reassembled at No. 1 Aircraft Depot (1 AD) at Hobsonville Airfield. Assigned to 1 Squadron Whenuapai Airfield. On February 25, 1942 assigned 4 Squadron at Suva Airfield (Nausori) on Fiji. On July 19, 1942 transfered to 9 Squadron based at Plaine
Des Gaiacs Airfield on New Caledonia. No known nose art or nickname.
On December 7, 1942 took off from Plaine
Des Gaiacs Airfield on New Caledonia on a local mission. Returning, this Hudson suffered a heavy landing and was damaged. On December 30, 1942 officially written off and reduced to spare parts. The rest of this Hudson was abandoned.
The center wing section of this Hudson remains at Plaine Des Gaiacs Airfield.
