Aircraft History
Built by Mitsubishi at Nagoya No. 3 Works. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Assigned an unknown Kōkūtai.

Wartime History
This bomber ditched into Truk Lagoon.

At one time, 38 incendiary bombs were removed from the bomber as a precaution for SCUBA divers. Reportedly, a sake and cognac bottle were found under the pilot's seat. The large plane is relatively free of marine growth. 7.7mm and 20mm guns, radios and boxes are still inside the plane. Although it is illegal to remove artifacts from the wreck, some items have been removed over the years by divers.
