"Hero's Medals Awarded – Parents and other relatives of Marine Lt. John F. McGrath, Troy, gathered yesterday as the dead hero's decorations were presented by Marine Corps representatives. Here, left to right are Staff Sgt. Glenn F. Sanborn, Edward McGrath, brother of the lieutenant; Mrs. Thomas Law and Mrs. John Cox, sisters: Edward McGrath, father, Major Thomas E. Dutton, in charge of Albany Marine recruiting, and T/Sgt [sic GySgt] Lego Gustafson. Seated front is Mrs. Edward McGrath, mother of Lt. McGrath.
