Assigned to Fighting Squadron 17 (VF-17) "The Jolly Rogers". Assigned to pilot Lt(jg) Tom Killefer. Squadron number 5 painted in white. No known nose art or nickname. This Corsair operated in the Solomon Islands. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
