Assigned to the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to Marine Fighting Squadron 212 (VMF-212) "Hell Hounds / The Musketeers". No known nickname or nose art.

Mission History
On March 9, 1944 took off from Efate piloted by 2nd Lt. Ralph L. Roush on a training mission. Over Moso Island suffered a mid air collison and crashed.
