Aircraft History
Built by Aichi, completed during October 1943. Uncoded serial number 450. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN). Assigned to either the 582 Kōkūtai or 552 Kokutai. No known tail code. This Val operated from Rabaul and was about two months old when it crashed.

Wartime History
Between December 15, 1943 to December 31, 1943 took off from Rabaul area on a bombing mission against Arawe. Over the target area, shot down and crashed on land.

Wreckage
Engine and pieces of wreckage are present. The manufacure number 3487 is visible at three locations in the wreckage.
