Aircraft History
Built by Douglas. USAAF Serial Number 44-76339, Constructors Number 32671.

Wartime History
Delivered to the RAAF during February 1945. Assigned to 37 Squadron.

Postwar
During 1964-1966, based in Malaya and Japan. Then to 25 Squadron and 8 Squadron and 2nd Squadron. Next as a calibration aircraft for 10 Squadron. On September 5, 1971 damaged beyond repair at Townsville. Later, loaned to Channel 7 in Perth.

Display
Acquired by Sid Beck and displayed at The Beck Museum in static condition.

Allan H. Kelly adds:
"My father, Robert H. Kelly, flew as the radio operator in this C-47 between 1947 and 1964 on supply runs throughout Southeast Asia."
