Former Prisoner Of War (POW) Sepoy Chain Singh was part of the British Army, 2/12th Frontier Force Regiment. After they were liberated by Australian Army they were treated at the 2/15 Field Hospital on Boram Beach. On November 15, 1945 passenger aboard C-47 Dakota A65-54 to testify at the War Crimes but crashed into a mountain near Milim on East New Britain.
