Aircraft History
Built by Brewster as a model 339E. Constructors Number 218. An RAF aircraft in service with a RAAF unit. On August 26, 1941 it was delivered to 453 Squadron. On August 27, 1941 it landed with wheels up at Sembawang Airfield piloted by F/O Frederick Leigh Bowes.

Mission History
Collided midair with Buffalo AN171 while carrying out a weaving manoeuvre searching for the target area, crash landing at Mersing, Malaya. Pilot Harrison survived and was able to walk away from the crash. At the time he was part of 21 Sqn flight of 21/453 Squdron
