Background
The Vultee BT-13 Valiant was a basic trainer aircraft built for the U. S. Army Air Force. Variants of the BT-13 in U. S. Army Air Corps was known as the BT-15 Valiant. The identical version for the U. S. Navy was known as the SNV was used by the U. S. Navy, U. S. Marine Corps and U. S. Coast Guard.
